Sound & Vision - 01.24
Transforming sound to texture - wearing music
I transformed spectrograms (the image of sound) into 3d shapes that i printed directly onto wool fabric. I then made the ultimate "band jacket", revisiting band t-shirts and punk ephemera.
34 seconds of sound are represented, cut into 6 strips. THe music is "sound and vision" by david bowie (1977). below are the concerned lyrics:
Don't you wonder sometimes
About sound and vision?Blue, blue, electric blue
That's the colour of my room
Where I will live
Blue, blue
Pale blinds drawn all dayFashion work through the years
Process-oriented garment design
I draw, experiment, implement ideas, upcycle, make patterns, toiles, digital designs and sew.
I'm really in between traditional pattern-making techniques and digital/phygital fashion, working on the DRESS FORM as well as on CLO 3D. This is what keeps my creativity going and helps me find the most efficient work processes.
Art on the side
For the sake of doing it
I draw, tell stories, paint sometimes, take photographs (have a special recipe to meddle with the result), and have fun with video editing.
